Jesus, the Light of Glory

“Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel, which translated means, God with us.” (1)

  • What was the greatest indescribable, gift ever given?

Christmas is more than a tradition. It represents the purest love of a Father, who gave His only Son, for us as a sacrifice. The greatest gift the world has ever known. Christmas’ true meaning centers on giving – the giving of a Father, Son and Holy Spirit, the Triune God. Christ came into the world, was born in the flesh and still full of divine nature. Wonder of all wonder, He is in essence, God. He is the holy, pure, perfect unblemished Lamb of God. It was predetermined that He would be the only suitable sacrifice, pure and holy, to die a sinner’s death, for you and me. He suffered in our stead so we wouldn’t suffer the penalty of death for our own sins. His sacrifice was to reconcile us to God the Father. The Holy Spirit was sent to abide and live in us. A free gift! His desire is to make known to all people this wonderful free gift of love. A love that is available to you. “Now thanks be to God for His gift beyond telling [His indescribable, inexpressible free gift.”] (2)

  • Where do we see this free gift?

At His birth, JESUS, the light of glory, was born without sin. He lived a sinless life. At the CROSS we see God’s great gift. Here Jesus, full of love was poured out as a love offering for the saints. The cost of His sacrifice was the price for the sins of the world. It was for our freedom…freedom from darkness so we would live in light. The Christ child was born. Born to die! At the hands of vicious men! But God purposed He would raise again conquering darkness and death to accomplish God’s great plan for salvation, the best gift ever…LIFE, in Jesus!

Jesus was the long waited Messiah, and He came to become our King, Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace, Emmanuel, God with us.

  • All this also comes from the LORD Almighty, whose plan is wonderful, whose wisdom is magnificent. (2)

Emmanuel, God with us! He is with us, still abiding, and living! Jesus came to shine LIGHT into our hearts. He is the light of glory. It is to His glory that He suffered to bring His people to glory. If you have not accepted this free gift, you can ask Him today to live inside of you, and He will come. I pray this wonderful gift of Jesus, Who is Lord and Savior, would not be kept outside, for He is calling, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.” (3)

Will the light of glory shine in your heart this Christmas?

Jesus has come to make a way for you. He has set eternity in your heart if you will come and receive. Come believe and receive! When you open your heart to receive the light of His glory He becomes your guide. O child of God, worship, thank and adore Jesus, Who is  the worthy Lamb of God.

Lord Jesus, You release new life when I open my heart for Your to come and live inside of me. You are with me now and forever more. Help me to hear Your still, small voice, so I can incline my heart to Yours. Thank You for the sacrifice You made for me so I can have fellowship with You.  Amen
