Reclaiming God’s Glory

“Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things which have not been done, saying, ‘My purpose will be established, and I will accomplish all My good pleasure.” (1)

Does good prevail over evil? Or does evil master good? Does God allow evil to accomplish a greater purpose? (Such as Christ dying for our salvation) When a loved one dies from violence who is in control God or Satan? Was the person who held the gun which shot and killed my son arrogant in his own pride? Where was God? Did God use this event in my life to move my circumstances according to His infinite plan?

God never stepped off His throne when my son, died. He didn’t turn away from looking when Michael was shot. He saw, heard and knew all that took place. God was in control – His sovereignty was ruling the outcome – directing the events of that morning. God knew the day, hour and time Mike would go home to be with Him. Michael’s destiny was in God’s hands. “Your eyes have seen my uniformed substance; and in Your book were all written the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there was not one of them.” (2) God allows everything to happen – just as He purposed and in His wisdom. He has a purpose for my pain. All things glorify Him! I can’t understand why He allows things like these to happen, perhaps, someday in heaven the purpose will be plain to me but for today it remains a mystery. I’ve come to trust and believe the mystery I cannot fully understand…that evil ultimately contributes to God’s glory. One day I will fully realize the fullness of victory over evil, when I worship My Redeemer who fought for me.

Jesus fights for His purchased flock, so too we can stand and fight for Him.

Fight for God’s Glory!

I am reclaiming my ruins for God’s glory. The act of murder will rightly prove God’s judgment over evil and will be my claim to victory through a triumphant Savior. I choose to reflect God’s grace into my life’s story – God’s glory is the conclusion! He is the beginning and He is the end of all the chapters in my life….so all the glory goes to Christ.

“Trust Me in your times of trouble and I will rescue you and you will give me glory. (3)

As believers in Christ – we accept what God reveals to us, as we seek Him in His Word. In those mysteries we can’t understand – because God chooses not revealed them to us, we will trust Him even more, with greater faith.

“But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.” (4)

Heavenly Father, I most worthily praise Your name. Lord, I give You my life and ask that You would order my steps to serve your purposes. Thank You for molding and shaping my life for Your ultimate glory. I thank You that I am Yours! And that I was created to give You praise in all things. I worship You alone. Amen.
